Undocumented Student Action Success Week at 萝莉研究所

萝莉研究所 | Oct 29, 2026

萝莉研究所 hosted its 2026 Undocumented Student Action Success Week October 19鈥23, offering educational workshops, cultural activities, and allyship training to support undocumented students and mixed-status families. The events averaged 15鈥20 participants, with programming focused on building community, increasing awareness of available resources, and providing practical tools to navigate educational, financial, and community-related challenges.

The week began with Faculty/Staff Undocu-Ally Training, held in collaboration with TODEC. The training offered strategies to support undocumented students, increased awareness of the challenges undocumented and mixed-status students face, and encouraged participants to foster a welcoming campus environment.

Students also participated in UndocuPower: Understanding Local Government, which explored how local government decisions can affect communities and access resources. Additional programming included a screening of Coco and Day of the Dead 101, an educational session held in collaboration with UndocuScholars LLC. These activities provided opportunities for cultural learning, reflection, and connection through shared traditions and experiences.

Community members had an opportunity to learn how to support undocumented individuals and families through Community Undocu-Ally Training, held in collaboration with TODEC. The week also included a SchoolsFirst Budgeting Workshop, organized in collaboration with Phoenix Scholars and Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS). The workshop focused on financial literacy, budgeting strategies, and informed financial decision-making to support students鈥 financial wellness and long-term goals.

In addition to the scheduled programming, Dreamers & Leaders and Veterans Club, in collaboration with the Unity Zone and the Association of Latin@ Advocates for Student Success (ALASS), created an ofrenda. The display honors loved ones who have passed away and provides a space for remembrance, reflection, and cultural expression during D铆a de los Muertos.

Students, faculty, classified professionals and community members are invited to contribute a photo or memento of a loved one to the ofrenda, helping create a shared space that honors the lives, memories and legacies of those who remain an important part of the community.

Through its educational programming, cultural activities, and collaborative partnerships, Undocumented Student Action Success Week reinforced 萝莉研究所鈥檚 commitment to fostering a welcoming campus environment and connecting students and families with resources and support.
