The best way to solidify your career/major choice while also gaining relevant skills that will help you stand out amongst other job applicants, is to engage in internship/research experiences. The more, the better! Take time to research and apply to a summer internship/research opportunity. These experiences will assist you with your educational journey, professional growth, skill and leadership development. BONUS, most positions are PAID! DON'T DELAY! NASA Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS)

Whether your long-term goal is to work for NASA or a different company, having a NASA internship on your resume will pave the way for additional internship and job opportunities. 

ELIGIBILITY

Mission 1: Discover

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age by beginning of Mission 1: Discover.
  • Currently attend a U.S. community college
  • Completion or concurrent enrollment of 9+ college credits of STEM coursework
  • Able to commit to a 5-week online session
  • Internet access
  • Have not previously participated in NCAS
