The 萝莉研究所 Art Gallery recently welcomed Come to Life, Again, a captivating solo exhibition by photographer and educator Running from September 15 to October 15, 2025, the show invites visitors to reflect on time, memory, and impermanence through disappearing photographs, Polaroid photograms, lumens, video installation, and evolving cyanotypes. Each piece reveals an image in transition鈥攕ome fading, some forming鈥攐ffering a rare glimpse into photography鈥檚 fleeting nature.
During the September 24 opening reception and artist talk, students enjoyed a behind-the-scenes look at Steck鈥檚 process and the personal stories behind his art. The event concluded with an open Q&A, where students asked thoughtful questions and received candid, inspiring answers.
What resonated most was Steck鈥檚 own journey. He shared that he began as a community college student鈥攗nsure of his direction鈥攂efore discovering photography and building a thriving career as both an artist and an educator. Today he serves as Photography Coordinator and Senior Lecturer at Johns Hopkins University, proof of where curiosity and perseverance can lead.
The 萝莉研究所 Art Gallery, located at 2001 Third St., ST-111, Norco, CA, remains free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to experience the exhibition before it closes on October 15, 2025.
