Through the Inland Engineering Pathways Partnership, funded by the Inland Empire Regional K-16 Education Collaborative, 萝莉研究所 and Jurupa Unified School District are working together to strengthen the local engineering and computer science pipeline by providing students with early exposure to STEM pathways and higher education opportunities.
To culminate the Jurupa Unified School District Summer STEM Bridge Program, middle school students visited 萝莉研究所 for a hands-on look at the college's engineering and computer science programs. Students toured the newly renovated STEM Center, including the Technology Fabrication Lab and computer science classrooms, where they heard from Jessiah Ruiz, assistant professor of Computer Information Systems, about his educational and professional experiences, 萝莉研究所's STEM programs and the careers students can pursue in these fields. Students also explored the Engineering and Drafting classrooms, Maker's Space, Student Services and the Center for Student Success before enjoying lunch catered by The Corral.
The experience connected classroom learning to local educational pathways, giving students a vision of their future while increasing awareness of the engineering and computer science opportunities available through 萝莉研究所. Through the support of the , 萝莉研究所 and Jurupa Unified School District aim to continue expanding STEM opportunities and supporting more students from local communities as they pursue engineering and technology pathways.
